Imagine being stuck in front of the computer for the last six months of school, unable to play tag or hug your friends when you see them. All this change has been hard for your youth to process and understand. Like you, they too are learning to pivot and adjusting to the complexities of distance learning. In this session, participants will learn strategies to support their youth, name feelings, build self-management skills, and build community together.
DJ bust me a beat. Why “Remix?” In music, a remix is a song that has been altered from its original state by a new artist by adding new loops, beats and lyrics in a way to create something both recognizable and entirely new. It is time we add some new loops, beats and lyrics to the traditional way we have approached the Youth Development Framework. In this session, we will unpack what emotional and virtual looks like now and learn how we can continue to support skill-building and community connection.
Working from home has offered some new dips and turns. The simple in-person reminders have turned into 3 texts, 2 emails and 1 ZOOM call. In this session, participants will learn about new online tools they can integrate into their program planning meetings and strategy sessions.

In this session, participants will build new strategies to hold team meetings, support work updates, and develop weekly rituals for staff check-ins, cross-pollination, and community building.
